This is one of a series of oil paintings I made based on events in the immediate aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, which took place in London during 2017. I developed the image from photographs I took at the time when various media organisations were present on the streets surrounding the tower. The background 'screen' combines images taken from a London department store and a demonstration which took place near to the tower.
