For this large oil painting, I drew upon observations made in various parts of London during 2020, capturing moments of life during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the figures were going about their daily routine, others were tourists. This painting continued my exploration of using three-dimensional constructions. I employed complimentary colours in opposing panels - blue and orange, purple and yellow. I also made play of signage. Different languages emphasize the global nature of life in London. As such the painting can be viewed as a metaphor for the modern world.
